World Cancer Day (4 Feb) is an initiative of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), working to unite the cancer community to reduce the global cancer burden, promote greater equity, and integrate cancer control into the world health and development agenda.
Cancer is often seen as only a medical diagnosis, forgetting about the individual and their journey. The theme, “United by Unique”, aims to place people at the centre of care and their stories at the heart of the conversation.
