I’m able to play a direct role in maintaining the integrity and quality of the database that supports evidence-based practice in physiotherapy and rating studies on PEDro Scale enhances my ability to critically evaluate the methodological quality of research, improving my understanding of what high quality evidence constitutes. It is also professionally fulfilling as I’m exposed to the latest research around the world which keeps me informed with the new developments and trends in the field, gives me the opportunity to be part of a larger group of experts dedicated to advancing physiotherapy practice by highlighting the most rigorous studies, and knowing that my contribution helps clinicians and researchers to make sound informed patient care decisions.

My aim of becoming a volunteer PEDro rater was to participate in the strengthening of evidence-based physiotherapy practice.
